Creating ads that will be sought out by targeted consumers has a tendency to create more loyalty in a customer base than basic advertising pitches do, but why? There is no scientific answer, but based on research and observations, I can offer some very sound speculations.
When a consumer comes looking for a product and finds your ad, they are already a captive audience. You are not intruding in the middle of their television show, newspaper, or radio listening. You are essentially sitting quietly, minding your own business when they come to you and basically say, Hello! I have a problem or desire that I think you can fill. Can you tell me a little more about your product or service to tell me how you might be able to help me?
Right away, you met them at the place of their basic need when they needed it. Once they are satisfied, then they have already invested time and energy in choosing you, so when you came through, they feel validated that they made a sound |
